Kid Cudi at the Whole Foods

 Is music reminiscent

of memories or is it just music

in its own right?

Program music versus music

 music.

We’re befuddled in the aisles; I’m trying to remember

the last time I heard this song they’re playing on the sound system.

The only thing working right now is the data center in the field.

No titles?

Titles?

Opus 82 or Forest Scenes?

This poem is titled Kid Cudi at the Whole Foods.

And it eventually comes upon a floodlit park a few blocks away and lingers

by the chalked sidelines on astro turf

hearing all the stories A.I. cannot see.
